Will I be covered for pre-existing conditions?

Generally, insurers won’t cover you for any illnesses you’re currently suffering from or have had before. These are known as pre-existing conditions.

A pre-existing condition is any disease, illness or injury for which you’ve received medication, advice or treatment, or for which you’ve experienced symptoms.

You can ask your policy provider at renewal to re-assess any pre-existing condition, as some insurers may agree to cover it in the future.
